Farm Credit Mid-America has supported 4-H for more than three decades, investing in citizenship and leadership development programming. This relationship enables Farm Credit Mid-America to impact more than 500,000 4-H members across Arkansas, Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio and Tennessee each year.

In 2023, Farm Credit Mid-America more than doubled its investment in Tennessee 4-H, providing $75,000 for educational experiences and programs. These included Tennessee 4-H Congress, Tennessee 4-H Roundup and All Stars Conference, and the Junior Livestock Program. These educational experiences and programs create opportunities for members to learn the importance of civic engagement, develop lifelong leadership skills and pursue their interests in agriculture.

“One of the best ways we can support youth in rural communities and the agriculture industry is by supporting 4-H,” says David Weatherly, regional vice president at Farm Credit Mid-America.

“The investment we make in 4-H members today creates a ripple effect of positive outcomes as these youth grow up to become active citizens in their communities and leaders in agriculture. We look forward to our continued relationship with Tennessee 4-H and our support of its citizenship and leadership development efforts.”

As the largest 4-H youth organization in the country, Tennessee 4-H makes a remarkable difference in the lives of young people across the state. Farm Credit Mid-America is proud to help provide opportunities for Tennessee’s youth for years to come.
