Tennessee 4-H has over 186,000 great youth across the state! The Tennessee 4-H foundation is excited to be able to highlight a student each month for his or her outstanding work in the 4-H organization! The month of February's ‘Member Spotlight’ is Rutherford County 4-H’er, Haylee Ferguson. She is a Junior at Eagleville High School. Haylee is involved in the Leadership and Beef projects, Public Speaking and judging team activities. Most recently, Haylee competed in the National Western Round Up Meats Judging

This year, 34 exceptional students were honored at the 2019 Roundup and All Star Conference. Congratulations to the winners!

The 2020 Alumni & Friends Annual Reunion will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2020. The event will be held at the Wilson County Expo Center in Lebanon, Tennessee, with registration beginning at 10 a.m. We are excited to announce that this year’s keynote speaker will be Rhedona Rose. Each year, this reunion serves as an opportunity for 4-H alumni to gather together to learn about the current state of 4-H, look toward the future and reunite with friends from the past.

This year’s Volunteer of the Year is Amelia Sturgill. It is because of the dedication and tireless work of volunteers like Sturgill that Tennessee 4-H is able to thrive. For the last seven years, Sturgill has served as a volunteer for Fentress County 4-H, volunteering at camp, coaching the Wildlife Judging Team, and chaperoning numerous Honor Club and All Star Events. Rhedona Rose is all in for 4-H and has been blazing a trail for 4-H’ers for years. Growing up in Cookeville, Tennessee, Rose was an active participant in her community and her local 4-H program. From a young age, Rose was fascinated by sheep, and her maternal grandmother was committed to helping her get involved in the Sheep Project. The 2019 National 4-H Week festivities are quickly approaching! This year’s National 4-H Week is Oct. 6-12 and the theme is “Inspire Kids to Do.”

Around the state, 4-H’ers are working tirelessly to serve the organization and make it better for generations to come. Among these stellar students is Leiah Wilkins.
