Since its beginning in 1948, Tennessee 4-H Congress has given thousands of 4-H’ers and volunteer leaders first-hand experience in state government. Members learn about civic engagement, including how state government functions, being of service to others and the election process. While at Congress, delegates note an increased knowledge of state government, a greater sense of citizenship responsibility and the opportunity to make new friendships.
